Sweet, sticky cocktail sausages glazed with chilli jam, soy sauce and lime juice. A festive party appetiser that's ready in under 30 minutes.
This is a super simple yet incredibly tasty recipe for chilli jam cocktail sausages. It's a real crowd-pleaser and perfect for any festive gathering or just a cosy night in. If you've got some chilli jam handy then this one is for you.
Just combine the ingredients, tip in your cocktail sausages and stick the lot in the oven. Couldn't be simpler.
We start with chilli jam, warm and sweet, which gives a bright red glaze that contrasts perfectly with the savoury sausages. To this we add a splash of soy sauce for depth and some lime juice to cut through the flavours and give a burst of freshness. Make sure the sausages are well coated before pouring everything into a throw away foil roasting tin.
A short while in the oven and you're done. These chilli jam cocktail sausages are perfect for Christmas because they're not just delicious, they're also incredibly easy to serve and eat, making them ideal for mingling and party buffets.
The sticky glaze caramelises slightly in the oven, coating each sausage in a sweet, tangy sauce that's balanced by the savoury meat. The sesame oil adds a subtle nutty flavour that rounds everything out, whilst the lime juice keeps things bright and stops the glaze from being too heavy. You can make these ahead and reheat them just before guests arrive, or serve them straight from the oven. Either way, they disappear quickly, so you might want to make a double batch to be safe.

Serve hot on cocktail sticks for easy party eating. These go brilliantly with cold beer or festive drinks.
For a spicier version, add a teaspoon of chilli flakes to the glaze. You can also use honey instead of chilli jam for a milder, sweeter taste.
